💡 Pattern Master Strategy

• Test one attribute at a time. Ask only about colour first, ignoring shape and size. Then only about shape. Patterns that look impossible usually combine two simple rules rather than one complicated one.
• Say the sequence aloud. "Red, red, blue, red, red…" exposes the period of a repeat much faster than staring at it does.
• Check for rotation before assuming a new shape. A triangle turned 90° is a very common trick and reads as a different shape at a glance.
• Count positions. If the rule is not in the appearance, it is often in the spacing — every third item, or alternating.

🧠 What Pattern Master Builds

Pattern recognition underpins most of what we call reasoning: spotting that one case resembles another is the first move in almost every problem. This game isolates that skill from vocabulary and arithmetic, so it measures the reasoning rather than the schooling. The difficulty climbs by layering rules rather than adding clutter, which keeps later levels genuinely harder instead of merely busier.
