💡 Dominoes Strategy

• Track which numbers have been played. When all seven of a number are gone, neither end can extend with it — that is when you block the game.
• Lead with your heaviest tiles. If the game ends blocked, you are scored on what remains in your hand, so shedding high pips early protects you.
• Keep a double back for later. Doubles are hard to place, and holding one too long is the classic way to get stuck.
• Watch what your opponent cannot play. Every pass tells you a number they do not hold — steer both ends toward it.
• Play to keep both ends matching your hand. Controlling the open numbers is far more valuable than emptying a tile quickly.

Dominoes looks like a matching game but is really an exercise in inference: the tiles you cannot see are deduced from what has been played and what your opponent has passed on. That makes counting and memory the deciding skills rather than luck.
